Regency England's beloved extended family, The Worthingtons, returns in the first in a sparkling new spin-off series from Ella Quinn, as three sisters embark on their first Season, each determined to find her perfect match . . .
As part of a large, rambunctious family, Lady Eleanor Carpenter has gained some knowledge of what makes a successful marriage. She's even compiled a list of essential qualifications in a potential husband. John, the Marquis of Montagu, seems of good character (check), with money enough to support a family (check). But what of the many other requirements on her list?
Montagu, meanwhile, believes the key to a comfortable life lies in marrying someone quiet and docile. Yet the one lady who captivates him could hardly be more different to what he envisioned. Lady Eleanor is as opinionated as she is lovely, determined to improve working conditions for coal miners, even at risk to her own safety.
From evenings at Almack's to carriage rides in Hyde Park, this Season will contain many pleasures—and a few surprises that compel both John and Eleanor to rethink their expectations. For one thing is certain: love will not be defined by any list . . .
Contains mature themes.

Quinn spins off her Worthington series with the witty, charming first installment of her Worthington Brides series, which sees progressive Lady Eleanor Carpenter, her twin Alice, and their brother-in-law’s sister, Madeline, embarking on their first London season. John, the Marquis of Montagu, takes an instant fancy to Eleanor, who he sees riding most mornings and meets while escorting his mother home from a soiree. Together they suffer through the dry cake and tea that are the mainstays at Almack’s, a venue where only the most elite meet to dance and search for a mate. But John’s always envisioned a docile, proper wife and struggles to adjust to Eleanor’s unconventional family, independence, and business acumen. As the newly minted owner of a mine, Eleanor’s made herself a powerful enemy—one she’s perfectly capable of contending with herself, thank you very much, no matter how much John may want to protect her. Though the extensive cast may cause confusion in those unfamiliar with the previous series, careful readers will be pleased by Quinn’s richly detailed descriptions of the London season’s day-to-day dramas. This spells more good things to come. Agent: Deidre Knight and Janna Bonikowski, Knight Agency.
